Hey all...check out my long review of the Somerset show on 7-1 at
www.geocities.com/sunsetstrip/show/9064...it's got some pics (from my
smuggled in camera....shhh, don't tell anyone)...so check it out...

On a related note, I've noticed (mainly because of what Joe has said) that
many people have started saying that Ozzy can't handle it anymore...I would
disagree based on the two shows I've seen (Reunion in Minneapolis and the
Somerset show), but everyone has their opinions...Let me just say first off
that I don't think Ozzy is god...I own none of his solo stuff and would
never see him live by himself....but I can honestly say I thought he did
some pretty good shows...with Ozzy, I've come to expect a few screwups, but
I've also come to expect a man who loves what he does...I mean, come on,
it's live music...even Iommi screwed up a few times at the show I
saw...nobody's perfect...although I will admit that I didn't see the Dallas
show and am drawing all these conclusions from the shows I did see, I think
a lot of people have hopped on the "Ozzy sucks" bandwagon when they really
have no reason to...I mean, come one, Joe has said he favors Sabbath after
the Ozzy era, so as much as he says he's an unbiased bystander, he's
wrong...

You know, this also strikes me as strange since a couple years back many
people made a huge point that Bill Ward should have been included in the
Ozzfest ('97?)that Sabbath (Iommi, Geezer, Ozzy) made appearances at, even
though Bill wasn't (according to some of the things Iommi said at the
time)in good enough shape to play...I seem to recall a lot of people
thinking that Bill should have been there regardless of the shape he was
in...but now, all of a sudden, when it's someone like Ozzy everyone thinks
if he has a bad night that he's just a terrible singer...I don't get
it...seems we hold our singers up to a standard that our drummers aren't
held up to...anyway, that's my two cents, take it for what it is...
