I just can't ever get sick of "Anno Mundi" and that riff with the chorus bed. So damn cool.

Anno Mundi, probably my favorite song of all time. Doesn't get much more decisive than that.

I remember when I first bought the album and heard Anno Mundi, I almost threw up! And it's one of the best songs on this album! I think it doesn't sound like Sabbath at all. I think TYR is absolutely the worst album Sabbath has done.
Voted for Valhalla.

Sabbath Stones, because of that amazing guitar solo. It was, for me, the best moment of the album.
Anno Mundi is amazing, too.

Valhalla of coarse. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Feels Good To Me is a close second. The guitar solo in that song strikes an emotional cord with me every time I hear it.

The Sabbath Stones is my Sabbath favourite of all time, and on top of my Most Played list in Winamp, with Anno Mundi close by. I especially like the bass line in Sabbath Stones because I'm somewhat of a bass player myself. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif The lyrics also rule beyond belief. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif Anno Mundi is great as well, I love the lyrics, it would have made a great clip. *sigh* Then again, Valhalla trilogy is great, I like the Viking theme a lot, and the idea of making orchestral/acoustic/heavy trilogy is great. Actually, I like all of the album, though the last 2 songs aren't really my favourites, they just don't stand to the level of Anno Mundi/Sabbath Stones/Valhalla. None of the songs are really "weak", but are there any weak songs from the Martin era at all?

when I bought TYR I was diggin all this Power Metal, Melodic, and Epic Stuff from all this European Bands (Blind Guardian, Stratovarious, Rhapsody)

A friend of mine introduced me to this kind of metal, I tought "hey, this is new..."

but when I heard TYR my first reaction was "OMFG Tony can do ANYTHING, just phreaking ANYTHING...", next day I showed my friend TYR and he was like "WOW! dude, I didnt know sabbath could do Power Metal"

Here is my confession, the only broken rule, sometimes I worship TYR, where I can't be the fool-on Strange Highways!

Repent-for the death of TYR is at hand.

The Lawmaker

Feels Good to Me and Heaven in Black seem like such filler on an otherwise kickass album.

edit: I still dont know how to pronounce "tyr"

is it "terr"?

Mob_Rules

According to the tour book, it's pronounced "tear."

It was mentioned in another thread and in an Amazon review of the album: Tony Martin would say that it rhymes with "beer". Easy enough for me. Hehe.
