A. The timeline info states that since "Bev" up and left on short notice for the tour, thats perhaps why there were stand-ins for the Sun City Press photo.

Bev IS in the photo, there was no bassist in the photo.

B. If you look at the photo itself with Richard Cole standing in, you can clearly tell the photo is backwards (either scanned that way, or came out of the negative that way).

I have seen the same photo in reversed the right way, and you can tell when something is reversed.

(Same goes for the Headless Cross promo photo with just the three guys, it is reversed on Joe's site, even though the guys names appear correctly. I personally own the photo where it is correct, and it looks so much better)

My reference about Bev not playing the Sun City gigs refers to the concert, not the promo picture.

That's a shot from a SC live gig, and Tony Martin has told me it was not Bev Bevan on drums. Bev played Greece, but not Sun City. That's Terry Chimes in that picture.

The promo picture:

The standin was for the bassist, not the drummer.

There's also a couple of other unlinked files from that shot on my server, too:

In looking up my reply to you, I found a section of text I need to update. I said that they only ever played Greece in July of 1987. That changed in the summer of 2005. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I always wished there was more press and info available about the Sun City fiasco with Sabbath, that has always interested me.
