I always thought Zeppelin only visited Sabbath during the Vol. 4 album and that John Bonham played or wanted to play Cornucopia which is a difficult drum piece to play, which Bill Ward had difficulty in learning how to play it, and that Bonham played Supernaut with them at the rehearsal, hence the Black Zeppelin recordings, never knew about Sabbath Bloody Sabbath.

I just did a bit of Googling and found an article which states that it was during the Sabotage album sessions that 3 Members of LZ visited Sabbath in the studio; its also stated within that Zep drummer John Bonham did play onstage with Sabbath once in their very early days and wrecked BW's drums and that LZ tried to coax Sabbath over to their new label.

Yes Ted, I read that story perhaps I got confused because it was Vol. 4 songs Bonzo wanted to play, I never heard of them showing up during the Sabbath Bloody Sabbath album.

          • ^^ Another interesting read, thanks for that. With all of the purported very early material that hasn't been released and this Sabbath LZ jam, there could be one awesome box set conjured up for the masses.

                  • Doc, I just read in the Forbidden article that not all of the Martin/Sabbath albums are guaranteed to get remastered, this true?

I thought everything from Headless Cross onwards was going to get the Remaster treatment?

If I might provide a response...Quite a few fans have hoped/wondered aloud whether or not the other TM Sabbath albums would be remixed (by Tony) as is the case with Forbidden. That doesn't appear to be happening at this point but as for the question of those albums being remastered, I for one think that should definitely be in the cards.

Thank you for responding Ted, I also think those Martin albums should be in the cards for a remaster fix.

Brother OID ..... EI you have the Delux version ,, Forbidden is going to get a Remix / Remaster / Semi Delux bonus material treatment ,,, CP / CP Live is already being talked about for Remaster / Semi Delux bonus material treatment ,,, and tho I DO NOT have confirmation , as long as time doesn't run out of the hourglass (... and even if it does) , HC and TYR will follow with either a Remaster and or Delux treatment.

                          God Bless brother

That is good to hear Doc, and hopefully with bonus tracks that are on the Japanese releases and or newly recorded tracks with Tony Martin.

                              • Excellent news in terms of possible remasters, thanks Doc!

Great interview with Geezer also. He's right in that Sabbath will never be 'over' (although he didn't say this directly) as the legacy itself is a living, breathing entity. As it resides in each member.
