Abstract: This paper discusses specific places in Birmingham (UK) where the original four members of Black Sabbath grew up, rehearsed, performed, and recorded. A discussion of the revision of their lyrics shows how the changes affected the music. Home of Metal, the Summer 2019 Sabbath exhibition at the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, is covered with a larger question about archival material. The paper is framed within the topic of music tourism and its value.
