seems like a standup guy, kinda surprised he was willing to communicate at all after the thrashing he got on these forums. Guess theres a lesson here people, don't jump to conclusions without knowing the whole story. He's got a great story, glad I saw it. Thank you Mr. Cerisano for sharing.

Hi. Bob Ezrin just talked to us directly. I can't express how frickin' cool that is. HUGE Ezrin fan here.

Also feeling a bit of a loss knowing that we *almost* had a Sabbath album with Ezrin.

I think it's somewhat fair that people had a bit of a hissy-fit when Joe C's story had come to light - It's perfectly reasonable to be dubious about this sort of story coming from someone who has *never* been mentioned in any of the copious documentation / Iommi interviews / etc for the last 25+ years. Regardless, now that there seems to be some backup to the story, I guess this is something "for the books" as they say.

      All the best,
      PAULIE

PS My fave KISS album is Ezrin. Some of Pink Floyd's most focused work is because of Ezrin. THE best Alice Cooper albums were Ezrin. Ezrin w/ Sabbath could have cured cancer.

I totally disagree with the bit about 'hissy-fits'. They're not at all helpful/necessary.

I agree it's perfectly reasonable to have questions in a circumstance such as this - but asking those questions in a courteous, rational and (above all) respectful manner is the way to learn more.

I just have to also send my thx to Bob Ezrin, a great professional who's work I've admired since my teen years. What a great site this is, that even pros of the rock world tune in, a testament to Joe's site and the respect it gets and deserves. Just a reminder to all of us members to mind our manners, and respect our felow Sabbath fans, the greatest fans in the world, that it's a privaledge to be a member of this Black Sabbath community.

BTW Joe C is a great singer, would have sounded great in Sabbath.

Now, after this large amount of details, the story sounds believable. You must agree with me that this much data is really better than one paragraph claming an audition, right?

So, if you talk to the guy again, tell him this: I dunno if his story is true or not, but my bullshit detector is not ringing anymore. And that he has a great voice.

I missed the original thread, but this is good stuff. Thanks to Totentanz for investigating, Joe Cerisano for telling his story, and Bob Ezrin for chipping in as well

On a semi-serious note, does Joe Cerisano has a habit of whiggling his butt when singing? If so, I believe Geoff Nicholls does actually mention him in Gary Sharpe-Young's Never Say Die

The guy who was wiggling his ass was some guy named David, or "Da-verd" as Geoff hilariously recalled in the book.
