I think it's aged well Wheels, I still love that album, I remember when it first came out I listened to it everyday, I became affixed to it, I also attended the concert for that album.

Believer he can still do, since he did it last year. And I think Revelation would be very doable as well. I think there are a lot of songs he can do now. Tuning down to C# makes them sound a little weird but so far on this tour Ozz has been performing really well, it feels like he's straining less and can open it up a little more.
I like all the Zakk/Ozzy albums, hell I like all the Ozzy albums period, from Blizzard to Scream, but No More Tears, to me is Zakk's best.

Believer is such a great heavy song, Little Dolls is another fantastic song, the whole album is.

I'm sure they will be filming this Tour as it's Ozzy last, possibly a box set with DVD and live album included with some extras, I'm hoping!

Ozzy's No More Tours 2 - Initial tour dates announced

I was listening to the latest Osbournes podcast and ozzy wasn't there because of the tour. But Jack asked Sharon what is next after the tour and Sharon's reply was "we have something special planned but I can't say". When asked by Jack again she said "I can't tell you because that would be letting the cat out of the bag. But we do have something planned"

Fingers crossed for an album. Maybe the special album the Sony rep mentioned a while back.

What do we think about further dates? Will there be an arena-tour in Europe? So far the only date here in Sweden is at Sweden Rock Festival. I think a lot of the european dates are festivals, but since the tour is supposed to go on into 2020 I have hopes that he'll return to hit some arenas as well. A reasonable assumption?

Looking forward to seeing Ozzy on Sunday at Download Festival. Havent seen Ozzy solo since 2010 so really excited, should be good.

Yesterday was the first day of the Download Paris 2018. It's actually pretty far out of Paris but quite easy to get to thanks to an uncharacteristically efficient organisation.

A few interesting bands today including Vanderberg's Moonkings, Converge and Ghost but I didn't get to see any of them as I got to the very front of the Main Stage Area in anticipation of tonight's headliner: Ozzy.

First, Opeth, whose records I love and were great last time I saw them in a smaller venue.

              https://electriceyephoto.blogspot.co...mber-22nd.html

However on a huge stage, in an open air setting, in daylight... well, they were quite boring. The intricacies of their music is lost on a drunken festival crowd and only during the brutal "death metal" passages did their set take off. Their affable demeanour also did nothing to compensate their absolute lack of stagecraft.

              https://electriceyephoto.blogspot.co...5the-2018.html

Right after that was Ghost, on the Second Main Stage and they sounded pretty good from afar... I never made it there so as not to lose my spot but you could smell the pyro from where I was and the crowd looked really into it. However, before the last notes hit, they all ran over to the Main Stage 1 to wait for the star of the day.

He came in at 21h45 sharp, after a lengthy video intro and the famous Opus Dei from Carmina Burana.

Last time I saw him was for Black Sabbath's supposed last show a year and a half ago, and Ozyy solo is a different deal: less doom, more fun.

              https://electriceyephoto.blogspot.co...irmingham.html

Ozzy is always a good time, it's like watching a child playing: endearing and a little embarrassing at times. He was sporting a generous pot belly that hung out of his shirt quite a few times during the set, but there is not an ounce of self-consciousness in this guy. Hell, there is not an ounce of consciousness in this guy. But his enthusiasm is infectious.

Zakk Wylde is awesome, I don't care what anyone says. Sure, he loves his pinch harmonics and he probably smells like he's been sleeping in a dumpster but what a guitarist!

The setlist was pretty good, and the show was great, if little short: between the intro, the solos and the stage banter ("I still can't fucking hear you!") Ozzy was probably onstage singing for an hour. He's also stuck behind his huge prompters most of the time. But I'm not complaining: if he was off key then it wasn't noticeable from where I was.

What was noticeable however was how downtuned everything was, to accommodate our man's voice. Zakk's riffs were often a muddy, bass-y mess: the opening riff to Fairies Wear Boots, which has those pretty chiming notes, was almost unrecognisable.

Small complaint: everyone left the show exhausted and happy from having witnessed a great set by a legend. There aren't many left.

I saw Ozzy when he came to sweden (was standing at first row) and damn, it was awesome! This was the first time I saw Ozzy solo (I saw him with Black Sabbath during their End tour tho) and I could not stand still for a second! I loved every second of it! And it was also really cool when Zakk Wylde walked among the audience and played a long guitar solo (tho it was a instrumental medley of songs that I had hoped to hear Ozzy sing, so that kinda sucked)

It was so good that I am thinking of saving money and go see Ozzy when he plays in england!

This is a great video - thanks for posting. What strikes me is how great the band sounds. Zakk just nails this track. That version of 'No More Tears', even filmed through a phone or whatever simply rocked. Ozzy sounds great too. As for the setlists that people are posting, they're all great songs but I do have to agree that it would be good to see some variety. He has a heap of classic cuts that don't seem to get an airing.

I just have to wait for the Melbourne show - Sydney too and I'll make it a weekend.

I love both Ozzy and Priest to death, both of them have brought so much - everything indeed - into my world of heavy metal. Even considering some of their unescapable faults and scratches (which are natural), no one can speak against Ozzy and Priest and try to take away any of their well-earned glory. They both emerged from Birmingham 50 years ago and since then have laid the foundation for all of heavy metal, they did it before anyone else...and they're still fucking here! You just have to salute them, as a fan and supporter of heavy music.

It seems that in February both of these legends will deliver their final word here in Finland, at least I will aim to see them bearing that possibility in my mind, because both Ozzy and Priest are in their twilight years and closing their final run towards the finish line. We have lived together through the music itself and at the shows all these years, so we'll meet again and end this together!
