  • Ronnie died 10 years ago today.

Share your memories or thoughts about Ronnie James Dio. I posted this here instead of the RIP Ronnie sub-thread because today is about more then just marking Ronnie's passing. And if you haven't read Joe's retrospective on Ronnie's entire career, find it here https://www.black-sabbath.com/2020/0...2ofgPSgWQRj0T0

And to read my personal experience with Ronnie and Black Sabbath from his last-ever performance, with backstage (and onstage) video footage of the band, fans, and more, check out my story here https://www.black-sabbath.com/2019/0...es-last-stand/

I simply cannot believe that 10 years have gone by.

Yesterday, I played Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow, Rainbow Rising, The Mob Rules and The Last In Line, and raised a glass in thanks and respect to RJD for the lifetime of incredible music he gave us.

This whole coming week and into the next week I’ll be listening to Ronnies musical career, starting with Master of the Moon all the way back to Elf, in honor of this great musician, who took Sabbath to another level.

In many ways Dio was the most special of all the Black Sabbath lead men
