    Eternal Idol - The Shining

    Headless Cross -When Death Calls

    TYR - Anno Mundi

Cross Purposes- Psychophobia, or The Hand That Rocks The Cradle

Forbidden - Can't Get Close Enough To You, Rusty Angels a close second
The blind men shout "Let the creatures out, we'll show the unbelievers."
The napalm screams of human flames, of a prime time Belsen feast ... yeah!
As the reasons for the carnage cut their meat and lick the gravy.
We oil the jaws of the war machine and feed it with our babies.

The Eternal Idol - Born To Lose
      Headless Cross - Nightwing
      Tyr - The Sabbath Stones
      Cross Purposes - I Witness
      Forbidden - Kiss of Death
Living in a world of make believe I can hide behind what's real
But wearing your emotions on your sleeve and they all know what you feel
And here it comes again straight through the heart straight through the heart

Fuck man, it's not like they got Iommi to wear a cap on backwards.

Face it - I don't think there's any gangsta rappa game enough to try that...

I didn't mind Body Count - underneath all the gangsta rap lyrics and macho posturing, there's some good riffs buried in the mix - and Ice-T is a lot smarter than his typical lyrics suggested.

Besides, Ice has used Black Sabbath's music on his own stuff - Shut Up Be Happy, for instance, uses the intro to Black Sabbath and it works quite well.

Apart from that - the riff is classic Sabbath - slow, doom laden and heavy.

I don't mind the rap passage in "Illusion of Power". I even find it quite fits the overall song. But Ernie C's production is mainly what kills this album for me. There are great songs on "Forbidden", but damn the sound is awful

Totally agree - for me it's not that I object to Ernie C's involvement, I'm all for innovation and change if it brings something fresh... but he just got such crap results. Forbidden is the flattest album in the entire catalogue, IMO the worst production on a Sabs album by far.

I'm not sure if I agree the production is the whole source of the problem. Sure Forbidden sounds a bit like a glorified demo, but to me that's just as much because the songs themselves sound a bit like they could have done with some more work.

I think Eternal Idol was the best one and hard to chose a fav. although I'd have to go with Born to Lose.
As far as Headless Cross is concerned.I absolutly hate this album. It does nothing for me personally.
TYR: this is also a great album second to EI. I have to chose Jerusalem.
Cross Purposes overall is a good album, I go with Psychophobia
And Forbidden...I like Rusty Angels. Illusion of Power is good too, I never understood the negitvity that ppl have for it.

                        Eternal Idol - The Shining
                        Headless Cross - Black Moon
Tyr - Valhalla (this was toughest pick, as I like the entire album alot, and about the same)
                        Cross Purposes - I Witness
Forbidden - Can't Get Close Enough (second toughest pick)

Pretty close to what I'd pick, but "Heaven In Black" & "Rusty Angels" are fave's of mine.

The shining, headless cross, jerusalem, feels good to me and psychophobia.
The Wolverhampton 1990 bootleg contains the only ever live version of 'feels good to me'.
