  • Old Version of this site

Anyone here used to hang out on my site when it was 1998? I found an old picture from back then. This was my first ever attempt at having some sort of graphical look to the place.

Haha, that's awesome! too bad I only joined 8 years later... and that I was only six at the time, and hadn't heard of Black Sabbath

Here's some early versions of the site:

        Jan 24, 1997:
        http://web.archive.org/web/199702040...om/sabbath.htm

        Dec 8, 1997:
        http://web.archive.org/web/199712100...om/sabbath.htm

1999 Version (site graphics are broken):
        http://web.archive.org/web/199901250...k-sabbath.com/

        2001:
        http://web.archive.org/web/200103012...k-sabbath.com/

It's pretty much been that way until 2007 when the graphics were tweaked from the 2000 version to be more like the theme used on "The Dio Years".

To tell you the truth, Joe, I preferred the most recent layout of the forums. I like the features of this one, but to me, I didn't think that taking away the look and some of the features from those forums was worth it... Not that it matters either way.

EDIT: Nevermind... but since I can't delete my post, I'll just edit it out. Thanks for listening.

Joe, the site just keeps getting better. Thanks for all your hard work in keeping it going/improving it.

                Thanks for sharing those Joe!

I lurked here on and off for years. Just joined in 2007. I remember a couple of those home pages.

When were the forums first introduced to this site?

Late '04... but I think Joe had been running the UBB software way before that.

Pretty cool Joe, so did the forums start back in ‘97?
