• Anyone going to see Iced Earth?

Iced Earth is doing a short stint in North America in September. I am going to the Detroit show on 9.21.08. Tickets were only $20.00.Anyone else here going to see them?

Matt Barlow is back singing with them. Their new CD, "The Crucible of Man – (Something Wicked Part II)" will have the following release schedule

– Germany, Austria, Switzerland: September 5, 2008
– United Kingdom and Europe: September 8, 2008
– USA and Canada: September 9, 2008

I am new to Iced Earth in the past 6 months, and really like Barlow's voice over the other vocalists that they have had. I am excited I am going to see them. I had heard that they would primarily be focusing on festivals in Europe and would not be touring in the US, so when I saw the tour dates here in the States, I jumped on getting tickets.

I was unaware that Iced Earth was doing a tour this year. They are a band that is new to me, but I like them. For 20 bucks I probably will go see them. Of the cities listed I live closest to Los Angeles, so I would go to the 10/24 show.

Thanks for the post.

Oh, and happy birthday.

I might go to the Toronto show, if I can manage to find a friend able to come.

They're one of those bands I want to see at least once. Especially with Barlow.

Also, happy birthday, man.

Glad I could pass on the info. I was perusing my local radio station's concert listings the other day and saw that IE was coming to Detroit. I too had no idea they were going to tour the US. That is part of the reason I posted, in case others who were interested in them had not heard.

Thanks guys for the Birthday wishes!
