Saint Vitus - Die Healing - found it at right price (though expensive by my standards ) and snapped it up. Really looking forward to this one after hearing the track "One Mind". Reagers sounds a fantastic vocalist - easily as good as Wino.
Herman Frank - Loyal To None - big fan of Accept and when a user on another metal forum dedicated a thread to this with tracks, by the end of the sampled tracks I knew I wanted this album. Prior to now I didn't know he'd done a solo album.
Twisted Sister - Live at Hammersmith & Still Hungry - hooked on this band. With the best of, picking up the studio albums is not absolutely essential at present (but is on my list) but as live band they are awesome (as per the Astoria CD/DVD) and I am immensely curious about Still Hungry - being a rerecording of Stay Hungry it should be interesting - if matches up to Saxon's Heavy Metal Thunder I'll be very, very happy!
All in all, a great haul
"But that is not the question. Why are we here, that is the question. And we are blessed in this, that we happen to know the answer. Yes, in this immense confusion one thing alone is clear. We are waiting for Godot to come."

It will match and make you happy, both Saxon's Heavy Metal Thunder and Twisted Sister's Still Hungry represent as to how the band can still deliver their best material with brutish force, added with the interesting modern day sound. Of course, nothing beats the originals ever, but these re-recordings are nevertheless a refreshing thing to do with best of compilations and the content is "new", you'll hear the songs in a new way. Still Hungry also has many great bonus songs so there's a lot to hear and enjoy!
I personally don't yet have the 25th anniversary REMASTERED reissue of Stay Hungry which also includes a bonus horde of studio material from the Stay Hungry recording sessions. I think the 25th anniversary reissue should be the final version of the album, at least with the bonus material. When they first released Still Hungry, the band's statement was that now they had made the songs sound as they should have sounded already back in '84 (but the company made the final twists). I still love the original recording the most, but I like this new re-recorded version as well, there's a lot of power & prowess. Now with this 25th anniversary reissue the original '84 mix has been updated to what the band considers to be a definitive soundscape. So, I think this is not a rip-off, I think there's just been an idea of getting the beloved songs sound as powerful as they can - first by re-recording the songs with a fierce sound & style of the 21st century, then remastering the original mix to match their own thinking of what it should have been from day one. And hey, when the 25th anniversary Stay Hungry was first released, the sound on the album had some faults, but the band and Rhino cooperated fiercely to deliver replacement discs for the fans. Class.
Last Friday I finally got the coveted Uriah Heep album Salisbury. The collection keeps growing...
Yesterday I bought 2 movies which I consider to be "heavy metal" in my books:
Luc Besson
- The Fifth Element for 8,95 euros
Sam Raimi
- Evil Dead for just 2 euros
Today I got my 2 pre-paid packages:
Winterwolf
- Cycle Of The Werewolf CD & T-shirt
It only cost 21 euros (postage included), I ordered it directly from the band and got their signatures in the booklet (written with a gold marker). This album will be remembered as one of the key death metal albums from Finland.
Motorhead
- Hammered
- Motorizer
I didn't know that Motorizer first edition limited digipack had a beautiful matte surface, what a classy cover indeed!

Just curious, how much did you pay for this? A CD reissue is on its way soon (don't know the exact date, but it's this year). A limited vinyl reissue came out a couple months back (hard as hell to find, though). I have the original pressing and it's a fucking great album (best production of all of them, IMO). Just hoping you didn't drop too much cash on this one.

Antonius Rex - Praeternatural
Lordian Guard - Lordian Guard
This Antonius Rex CD is a bitch to get. First of all, not many places have it in stock. First I ordered from a half.com seller. The CD never arrived (Luckily he refunded my money). Then I tried Brainticket.com and my CD never arrived, so I asked him about it, it was out of stock, despite the site saying it was in stock. He said it would be in stock in 2 to three weeks. I had problems ordering from Brainticket not to long ago before this, so I searched for another site that has it in stock, and I found it on a place called metalcentre.com. Let's hope the third time's the charm! Metal Centre is also the place where I ordered the Lordian Guard CD.

Have you been keeping up to date with the reissues? I know they've done a few vinyl ones, but are they doing any other CD ones? I really want to see Hallow's Victim on CD!
