Queensryche - Mindcrime At The Moore

I'm only on "Spreading The Disease" right now but so far this is not too good. It's impossible not to compare it to Operation: Livecrime, and Livecrime just had a ton of energy that this album doesn't. It's so odd too, because when I saw them they were on FIRE and on this recording, they just sound bored.

Maybe the O:M2 part will be better...

Finally completing my studio collection of Iron Maiden:

8bit, how many Maiden albums left to buy before you can really sit back and say you're done with the band's catalogue?? And did you go about getting the albums in the exact sequence of release? I once owned five Maiden albums and sold them all a few years ago.

Anyway, I'm getting the following albums two days later (on Sunday).

"Goodbye Cruel World" (2-CD live)----Brutal Truth
                "Decimate Christendom"-----Incantation
                "Domain of Death"-----Mortician
"Actors really are the scum of the earth. Their behavior makes arrogant, overpaid rock stars appear positively noble' - Buzz Osborne

Re: What Was The Last Album You Bought?

Live albums don't do it for me anymore unfortuneatly, so for as far as Maiden goes, I have collect all 13 studio albums, 14 if you count the "Best Of The BSides" collection. I also just pick by price or what album cover thrilled me the most at the time. I didn't buy them all at once.

Hi Viking...I couldn't resist butting in and saying a few words to you cos your latest list reads names of bands, all of that I enjoy (Exodus being my favourite). And I have owned all the albums you are about to soon own yourself.

I gotta say that I regard 'Persecution Mania' as Sodom's finest hour. And don't get me wrong if I say that 'In the Sign of Evil......' is conversely my estimation of being one of Sodom's weaker records. I really do hope you find it otherwise. Kreator fans really should begin with their early releases like 'Endless Pain' and 'Pleasure to Kill'. PtK is fantastic and you have made a good call. Their last release 'Enemy of God' was as good a comeback as any veteran thrashing band with musical chops intact could hope for.

As for Exodus, I won't bore you with my own ode to their greatness. Let's just say that if you haven't got too many of their albums, then please consider placing a priority order for their debut classic 'Bonded by Blood' and one awesome live thrash record you can ever hope to hear in your lifetime. It's called 'Another Lesson in Violence' a searing show fronted by none other than legendary original Exodus frontman, the late Paul Baloff, in what would turn out to be his sad, but ultimately triumphant final hurrah in thrashing immortality.
