Sabbath Bloody Sabbath or Wheels Of Confusion
if i had it my way (and im trying to)
it would be AFTER FOREVER loudly into WHEELS OF CONFUSION.
and possibly NEVER SAY DIE.
but to pick one WHEELS OF CONFUSION.
Sabbath Bloody Sabbath or Wheels Of Confusion
killing yourself to live
or solitude i guess
Killing yourself to live
Hmm...everyone would get really depressed form Solitude, and Killing Yourself To Live doesn't seem good either. I'd have to go with Never Say Die. It's a happy song and it'd tell everyone that I don't want them to be sad that I'm gone.
Funerals are a waste of time but if I had to choose, um it would be um The Writ.
Or as a joke Hole In The Sky, but mainly the Writ.
I personally don`t care what would be played at my funeral. I will be dead... and even I cannot think of a good song I just don`t see any sense.... wedding is different....Goodbye to romance
Tommorows Dream
This is an odd one and I might be alone on this but
Back Street Kids
After Forever
Into the Void, and paranoid as end, because, after all, it's still my most listened song...so...
Orchid for my family members, and A National Acrobat for my friends. Planet Caravan would be awesome too.
electric funeral
laguna sunrise
It depends when I die or how I died.
If I died tomorrow, I'd want Children of the Grave and Never Say Die
If I killed myself, I'd want Hard Road and Megalomania
"its all right" or "juniors eyes"
"Evil Woman"...females will be the death of me.

Changes...
or N.I.B because i just love that song
It's all right
End of Wheels Of Confusion
I would want the song A Hard Road from the album Never Say Die to be played at my funeral. Great song!
So hard to choose.
I'd probably go with Changes, then into Spiral Architect, and then Orchid/Fluff, finishing with Never Say Die.
I would have to go with either Hole In The Sky or Black Sabbath
I'm just a man and I am what I am,
Nobody will ever change my ways.
INTO THE VOID and i've already said it to my nephew one time, because it's me and my MUSIC that i love so much!!!
Electric Funeral
After Forever
Never Say Die
Orchid and Time by The Alan Parson Project
Time
Time, flowing like a river
Time, beckoning me
Who knows if we shall ever meet again
If ever
But time
Keeps flowing like a river
To the sea
Goodbye my love, Maybe for forever
Goodbye my love, The tide waits for me
Who knows when we shall meet again
If ever
But time
Keeps flowing like a river (on and on)
To the sea, to the sea
till it's gone forever
Gone forever
Gone forevermore
Goodbye my friends, Maybe for forever
Goodbye my friends, stars wait for me
Who knows when we shall meet again
If ever
But time
Keeps flowing like a river (on and on)
To the sea, to the sea
till it's gone forever
Gone forever
Gone forevermore

My first choice would be Electric Funeral because that was the song that got me into Sabbath and eventually all of rock n roll, but since thats not a very funeral-y song (except for the obvious irony with the title), i would have to choose...(looks through sabbath library)...It's Alright. For one, it would give people a shock to learn it's Black Sabbath ("That's not Satanic music! ) like i like to do to my mom haha. And also, I love that song, it's a very well arranged song a bill does a beautiful job on vocals. plus, it's concoling (sp) for the people who need it. :-) lookin out for my kin.
WHEELS ON CONFUSION or SYMPTOM OF THE UNIVERSE
as long as its really loud.
for non SABBATH.
MOTORHEAD-(i wont) pay your price.
After Forver, See You On The Other Side, Johnny Cash's version of Wayfaring Stranger also.
After Forever. Seems appropriate.
I would have to pick Basically to be played on a loop behind the eulogy.
Then I narrowed it down to:
War Pigs; because my guitar player and I (we are in a Sabs tribute) love to play that song LOUD
Solitude; cool song
Symptom of the Universe; this song rocks!
non Ozzy: Heaven & Hell or Die Young
non Sabbath..Johnny Cash, Hank Williams Sr.
And Motorhead's "Killed By Death" would be classic...
Person 1 "He was scuh a nice guy. What did he die of?"
Person 2 "Death"
Mind you, it would depend on how I went to some extent as well.
But thats it for now.
After Forever..........
I donīt know.. But If My pap die, I will play Jr. Eyes... man, thatīs one of the most sad songs ever. If I hear that when my dad die, I would probably jump into the casket and kill myself and go with him. I canīt imagine the world without him..
Can't you see what I see
You and I victims of Their word
As the master of power
Try to poison our world
----- Eternal Idol ~ 1987

I would choose BLACK SABBATH
[/ QUOTE ]
I wouldn't. I think the guests are sad enough about the death. You don't need to play the absolute darkest song in all history to top off the mood.

My 3 choices.
1. Hand of Doom
2. Spiral Architect
3. Symptom of the Universe
Might look funny.
Difficult question. The song should have a meaningful lyrics and not to be too sad. I hate depressing feeling at funerals. Other people continue living after I'm dead, so they should have a positive attitude towards future after I'm gone. First I thought Tomorrows Dream would be ok song because of it's name, but these lyrics doesn't really fit..
" So realize I'm much better without you
You're not the one and only thing in my heart
I'll just go back to pretending I'm living
So this time I'm gonna have the star part"
That just sounds too narcistic and I'm not bitter to my relatives and friends. I'll have to find another song..
edit. I just checked lyrics from Technical Ecstacy and there's 3 songs which would be good.
1. It's Alright
The whole song has the right mood. It's alright now.
2. Rock'n'Roll Doctor
I like this part, if there's an afterlife and a god, he must be the ultimate rock'n'roll doctor:
"He makes me happy when I'm feeling down
Take away my worry takes away my frow
Gotta see my Rock 'n' Roll doctor
Gotta see my Rock 'n' Roll doctor
Gotta see my Rock 'n' Roll doctor
Gotta see him, see him today
He's gonna blow me away"
3. Backstreet kids
This says a lot of how I see myself, and it would be nice to tell people how I felt:
"I'm just another back street kid
Rock 'n roll music is the only thing I really dig
Can't stop the music going round inside my head
I'm a rock 'n roll soldier, gonna play it until I'm dead
Nobody I know is gonna take my rock 'n roll away from me"
I think those are the right choises.
My simple answer is Laguna Sunrise. It's already been given as written instructions to my wife as well as my oldest son. A picture perfect instrumental.
The blind men shout "Let the creatures out, we'll show the unbelievers."
The napalm screams of human flames, of a prime time Belsen feast ... yeah!
As the reasons for the carnage cut their meat and lick the gravy.
We oil the jaws of the war machine and feed it with our babies.
If my life sucks, Under The Sun/Every Day Comes And goes.
If my life ends perfectly, then Spiral Architect.
