I'll resurrect this by saying it is one of my favourite Sabbath song ever, from any era. I've always been a sucker for Sabbath's ballads because they are a heavy metal band that know how to do them.

Interesting note, not a single Sabbath ballad that I can think of has ever gone succesful or has ever been chosen to have a chance. So most of the ballads they do I believe are actually from the heart.

She's Gone is brilliantly composed and the keyboards are a perfect fit, as is the string arrangement.

Ozzy's voice here goes without question as being one of his most grandoise ever, he hit notes I'm not sure he even knows anymore. Someone said before about how "they" loved it when he said "Oh My Baby" and I agree, that part is very emotional.

Several others have stated to like this song because they can relate to the lyrics and depressing overtone of the song. I can relate 100% to them, ofcourse from the opposite perspective.

Ozzy had a UK no1 with a new version of the Sabbath classic Changes.(though to be fair it was not a patch on the Sabbath original)

I agree with everything you say here Ashley. It is a great song from the most under-rated Ozzy-era album! It is just a class song, and it is my favourite Sabbath ballad from all eras!

I've never heard it I tried to look it up on Youtube, but it wasn't there...um...does anyone have a quicktime link or something of that song?

you are aware it'd be illegal to distribute that right? and i doubt it would be available online...

of course, if you go to http://www.ozzyhead/com and go to the downloads section and click the top option, you can find a sample of the song. but that's probably about it.

why would it be illegal? It's not like I'm buring it...it's all over the internet. Youtube.com is really bad then, isn't it?

I think it's a great song-comparable to Solitude or Changes either one

Just download it from limewire. Or bearshare or any other file-sharing network.

It's what all the cool kids are doing.

I know that Ozzy wrote Sabbra Cadabra when he was watching porn on the television, but... I wonder where the inspiration to write down She's Gone came from... it's so passionate!

This is a beautiful song very emotional and heartbreaking, Ozzy sings it beautifully, it's almost like he's in despair singing this song, like he's actually lost someone he's fell in love with., and now she left him.

Ozzy sure packed his performance full of emotion, or "feels" as they call it these days.

I loved it when Sabbath wasn't all about METAL and leather jackets etc etc.
Their 70s albums are all golden and steeped in magic.

I really like the song She's Gone from Technical Esctacy. I'm glad this thread exists. The music is haunting yet the lyrics are sad. Ozzy's performance of the lyrics is so well done. I'm glad Emerald Sabbath did a version of She's Gone on their CD that came out earlier this year.

Agreed with this entire quote, Ozzy did indeed pack his performance with "feels" as you described it, and yea there definitely is magic to their 70's albums that goes beyond METAL...take Supertzar from Sabotage for example. That music is pure magic, to me it gives Sabbath a charm that goes beyond metal.

Agreed, 70's Sabbath is the best, both you and Wheels described the magic perfectly.
