Don't Start (Too Late) is cool as fuck, but as it has 4 guitar lines, it is a kind of missing something to play it alone. So i play Orchid more!
I can get the intro in Orchid and the first three finger picking patterns but I mess up after that

Orchid and embryo. Never bothered about the others.
The blood runs free
The rain turns red
Give me the wine you keep the bread
i could teach myself embryo really quickly because ive seen the tabs and its really easy. other than that the only instrumental pieces i can play are part of Call of Ktulu and the theme song to The Munsters...
The most of an Sabbath instrumental I can play is Fluff, I haven't tried learning any others.
I can play Supertzar as well as Laguna Sunrise.
TS
All of Sabbaths.
I'm currently transcribing Scarlet Pimpernel.
The dog's name is Pete. If he tries to mount you in the middle of the night, say "no" sternly. But don't look him in the eye.
I can play (guitar)
Rat Salad
Embryo
Fluff
Scarlet Pimpernel
Pretty much all of Sabbath's and Horizons by Steve Hackett
the very beginning of Fluff some kind of embryoand Rat Salad`s beginning.
Fluff and Embryo. I've started to play only in last July so I'm still a beginner.
I'm just a man and I am what I am,

that's a beautiful tune man. A lot of fun to play, too.
The dog's name is Pete. If he tries to mount you in the middle of the night, say "no" sternly. But don't look him in the eye.
i can't play much. part of count of ktulu, because that's all i've actually tried. i was gonna try embryo once but forgot.
Embryo. I haven't tried any of the others.
the double tapping part of eruption by eddie van halen. its actually not that hard, the double tapping part at least.
Dee (I love to play it on my classical guitar)
parts of Mood For A Day by Steve Howe (I've still some problems on fast parts)
The Call Of Ktulu (everything except the solo, I haven't tried it yet)
Is There Anybody Out There ? (One of the first things I learned on guitar)
By Black Sabbath:
Fluff
Embryo
Orchid (I've still some troubles, but I should give another try because I've improved much since the last time I tried it)
I'd love to play Scarlet Pimpernel. It's strange but I've always problems with acoustic parts by Iommi (except She's Gone which is very simple).

Hi Psycho Man..
Try and break Orchid down into "Small Bits", Its played around 3 Major chords C, F, and G (a semitone down from the
"Master of..."recording) there is a nice 4 chord to one bar
part in the middle that makes it the tune it is ....
I'll try and explain it below;
here's the first chord;
String 4 fret 7; String 3 fret 9; String 1 fret 8
next one
String 4 fret 5; String 3 fret 4; String 1 fret 7
next one
String 4 fret 3; string 3 fret 5; string 1 fret5
end up on
string 5 fret 3; string 2 fret 1; string 1 fret 0
(C major without the 'e' note)
Play each chord as an arpeggio, so pick string 4 fret 7,
then string 3 fret 9, then string 1 fret 8 (but hold each three notes as a chord).
Then move onto the next chord, then the next, then the last chord.
Give each chord a count of " 1 & a" so "1 & a, 2 & a, 3 & a,
4 & a ".
Practice slowly at first then gradually speed up, and with a bit of luck and practice you should have that "Pretty middle part of Orchid" in the can...hope this helps!
Remember Tony's guitar was closely "Miked up" and "Double tracked" at least maybe "Quadruple tracked" in the studio and a Bass was used as harmony and root note playing..
I dunno dude thats nothing like the tabs here Sab tabs
and I dunno about the double tracking thing cause Iommi has played it live

Hi Psycho Man, The bit that I put up (In key of C major)
is found in the middle of the 3rd block of Tab down, on the
Iommi Tab page, the order that you play the notes, on this one is slightly different and the Iommi Tab is in the key of D, where as my version is in the key of C, but the arpeggio chord changes have the same effect, i.e. same sound different key.
The reason why I mentioned the "double-tracking", is that some people say to me "oh, why can't I get the same fat tone as on the album?" it's only 1 guitar, but if you "D-T"
the sound is warmer and fatter, I've only heard Tony do this song on an electric live, where as on the original
recording he uses a Nylon strung "Spanish" guitar, normally used by "Classical" guitarists.
Anyway, what part can't you play yet?........
the third line in the tab I put up, with the changes in the middle
"I want to tell you, yeah
How Good It Feels
Sleeping here with you tonight
And that’s for real"

Hi Psycho Man,
This part you can't get at the moment is, as
I said before the "4 chords in a Bar" part.
Each chord is made up of 3 notes, hold those 3 notes like any other chord, here we go.......
String: 4 1 3
Fret: 9 10 11
Finger: Index middle ring Chord one
now you are holding the chord, pick the notes in this order
string 4 then string 1 then string 3 , with this rhythm
1 & a ("1" is the first note, "&" is the second note "a" is
the third note)
then play chord two (like you've played chord one)
string: 4 1 3
fret: 7 9 6
finger: middle little index
then play chord three (as before)
string: 4 1 3
fret: 5 7 7
finger: index little ring
then play chord four (same rhythm, same order of strings )
string: 4 2 3
fret: 0 7 7
finger: / little ring
Practice slowly at first, getting to know the chord shapes, then you can speed up the chord changes..........hope this helps....... :sorry the computer puts things in paragraphs
but I think you can see what I'm showing....
I just need to work on the patterns, I can play them I just can't do it fast enough
"I want to tell you, yeah
How Good It Feels
Sleeping here with you tonight
And that’s for real"
-Sometimes I'm Happy 8/5/75
You'll soon do it, and it'll sound cool!!!

eruption: van halen
for the love of god and bad horsie: steve vai
Surfing with the alien, crushing day, always with you always with me and midnight: joe satriani
