Yes, I believe so. I hope so anyway! I'll see when it gets here. I just had to hear those killer Ulrich Roth leads and Rudolf Schenker power chords.

I have a Hagar live album which is a rerelease of a live album he did back in the early '80s. He's not the top of my playlist but good to listen to now and then. I think he's always been a better live performer than he has been in the studio.

I realize I spend all year (and a whole lotta cash) seeking out and mining an infinite treasure vault of exhilarating extreme metal releases. The following four are what I landed on my lap over yesterday and only just four hours ago.

Xenosapien---CEPHALIC CARNAGE
Anomalies-----CEPHALIC CARNAGE
Discordia-----MISERY INDEX
Karma Bloody Karma-----CATTLE DECAPITATION

Agreed, the first ten years of the Scorpions was much better than the next 25.

Rush, Fly By Night. I just got it at Best Buy a couple of hours ago. I decided to treat myself for getting through my Social Psychology and Sociology college courses.

It was the first album Neil Peart did with them and it's very raw, compared to what they ended up sounding like with all the synths and electronic drums.

Also, the pictures of early-20-something Lee, Lifeson and Peart are a scream...but so are pictures of me 20 years ago!

I just returned from a trip over the border to Canada.

I bought Anvil's Forged In Fire - rereleased and remastered. I'm listening to it right now. I played the vinyl to death back in the '80s.

Why they never broke big outside Canada I don't know, since so many of the bands that did break big (including Metallica) cite them as an influence.
