    Default All those tributes to Dio...

    I've seen several tributes online from rock bands all over the world to our dear Ronnie Dio.

    It may be nice to found them in just one topic.

    I found this beautiful rock band-string section tribute, from a band I didn't knew called Earthen Grave. Stargazer!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L7u08...yer_embedded#!

    Please contribute to have all this great tributes in this section.

    That dude has a great voice! They should get rid of Jorn & get him instead! I liked the image too... Better than the long haired 80's throwback!

    There is a thread of tributes here...

    you could always add stuff to that...

    He has that Graham Bonnet quality to him, nothing flashy, all voice.

    Oh man, my idea was to insert all those web/on-line tributes from all those bands all over the world, that have been posted in those video sites.

    Some of them are amazing, some are not. But anyway it would be a 'tribute' itself to all those bands that keep Dio in their hearts as the most of us.

    There goes another one I've not seen before.

    The Scorpions dedicating 'Send me an Angel' to Ronnie:

    In a different direction of course. It's pretty epic sounding.

    Mago de Oz & Doro Pesch - Man on the Silver Mountain

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=akuHhvC_fWU

    This particular cover was made years ago, but I'm posting it now since I'm pretty sure that most people have never heard it. Mago de Oz is a Spanish folk metal band and Doro Pesch is of course known for her time with the German traditional metal band Warlock.

    Be warned, this take on the song is quite different from the original...

    It seems that Ripper Owens is doing a tribute to Dio, in every gig he's performing.

    Wow, if there's anything these so-called tributes have shown me is Dio did these songs WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better than most so-called bands could have done them. GAWD!! Find a new day job, guys.

    The singer has a dark past though - he rose to prominence through the Idols talent show (Finnish equivalent of American Idol) I don't dig his voice too much (though he has gotten better), and he is quite an a hole they say. And there was also a RJD memorial gala (which has been discussed on this forum before, if I recall) where some of finest musicians of Finlands metal scene paid tribute to the master, Marco Hietala (Tarot, Nightwish) among others. Koivunen performed DTTS there aswell.

    The Mob Rules

    I swear, this band put a damn smile on my face. Good job. There is hope in the future.

    Let's go back with the tributes.

    Former CHASTAIN frontwoman Leather Leone recorded a cover version of the DIO classic "Egypt (The Chains Are On)" as a tribute to Ronnie James Dio in October 2010 at the Freedom Studio in Los Angeles, California. This demo recording, which can be heard in the YouTube clip below, features the following musicians:

    * Leather Leone (CHASTAIN, MALIBU BARBI, RUDE GIRL) - Vocals
    * Sandy Sledge (ALLISON CHAINS, WEAPONSVAN, WARBRIDE, MALIBU BARBI, RUDE GIRL) - Drums
    * Brett Baugh - Guitar
    * Ben Getting - Bass

    Because he wants so bad to be in Tonys next band / project. Wonder why Tony didn't pick him to play at the Ronnie tribute show ?

    Yesterday me and my girl, went to see Buckcherry and Motley Crue. They are touring in three mayor cities in Mexico.

    I wore my Dio conmemorative t-shirt, that one that were on sale last year and that came along with a pin and the little magazine with all those touching letters from several Dio's fans and friends.

    I did it as my tribute to Dio, after a year of his passing. And it surprises me very gratefully people's reaction at the arena, when they saw that Dio's conmemorative t-shirt. Some of them made the horns, some other shouted 'Dioooo'!!

    Mission acomplished. It wasn't my original idea but it worked very well.
