^One of my all time favourite films. How Michael Clarke Duncan didn't win the Oscar I'll never know!!

Anyway, just come back from seeing The Dark Knight Rises. A truly great film, I will need to see it again though as there's a lot I may have missed.

    Cool

I love this movie because Natalie Wood (RIP:(:() my absolute fave actress co-stars in it together with the above-mentioned actors

The Soviets and Americans combine forces to save the world from a meteor in this science fiction disaster adventure. Bradley (Sean Connery) is an American scientist who teams up with Dubov (Brian Keith), and his translator-assistant Tatiana (Natalie Wood ) later falls in love with Bradley. Hong Kong and New York are hit hard by tidal waves as the scientists race against time to prevent global disaster. Although a fine cast is assembled, nobody stands out, and the real star of the film is the special effects. This 18-million-dollar feature faced real economic disaster at the box office, although four engineers received an Oscar nomination for "Best Sound" for this forgettable film.

Green Mile is a masterpiece, very touching story and great acting.

And I though The Dark Knight Rises was fanastic too, just like the two previous parts were. This trilogy certainly is one of the all time best in my books .

About The Dark Knight Rises, one of the keys to it's succes is the villains. I love how psychological and threatening they all were. Ledger's Joker was one of the best movie characters ever, the perfect movie antagonist, but Baine was one great choice for a new villain too. Intelligent, vicious, menacing...and one strong dude as well I had done some research on Bane before seeing the movie, because I have never read Batman comic books. It was great to see that Nolan used a lot of references to the original comics, although his Batman world is more realistic than it's comic counterpart.

One thing I have to praise is the casting. I love how Nolan brings back his trusted actors. Tom Hardy was the perfect choice to play Baine, and Joseph Gordon-Lewitt and Marion Cottilard were thoroughly impressive in their roles too. Then Nolan sugar coats the cast with big names like Bale, Hathaway, Neeson and Freeman.

For me Nolan's adaption of this iconic "Dark Knight" is the perfect and defining one. I really hope he chances his mind and decides to continue the legend

I watched Knowing on rental last night. It's a pretty good "End of the World" type film, with a touch of the su[ernatural and a touch of sci-fi. It was not going to win any awards, although the plane crash was quite well done. Nicholas Cage is in his "wheel house" in terms of roles (professor cum action man).

I went to see The Dark Knight Rises yesterday, and like KiloDeltaCharlie said, it truly was a great movie. I really liked the fighting scenes and that it didn't just concentrate on Bruce Wayne/Batman. And, like always, Michael Cane did a fantastic job.
