Last weekend, I had a cool submission from Daniel Renna – he’s got more today. Something I don’t believe I’ve ever seen before. It was a cassette tape box set of the four of the first five Black Sabbath albums. Check it out:
Before digital downloads were the norm, there were compact discs. Before THAT was the pre-recorded cassette tape. I’m 48, and for the longest time this was my primary format of music consumption. In the US, you’d ocassionally see two albums lumped in together, but never a “box” as such. These pics come from Daniel Renna again. Here’s what he had to say about this set:
These are pictures of the only Sabbath cassette box set I know. It came out in the mid 80’s in Argentina (and maybe Brazil). It was widely advertised in the music magazines back then. I’ll try to get and ad for you. Selection is strange, as they are skipping Master Of Reality. There never was a second box set with the other 4 Ozzy albums.
Does anyone else own this? This is an interesting packaging for sure.
