RAY GILLEN

Today is the 5th anniversary of the death of Ray Gillen. Ray was a vocalist in Black Sabbath for a little over a year from 1986-1987. He sang the majority of the dates on the Seventh Star Tour, and recorded the 1987 album "The Eternal Idol", but left before it was finished (Tony Martin was brought in to re-record his vocals). Ray was a wonderful vocalist, and died this day in 1993 of AIDS related complications. He went on to do other great things, too like Badlands, Sun Red Sun, and other projects. It’s a shame he’s not still around making music. I do have some Ray Gillen related items on this web site if you’re interested:

Also, you can buy the two Badlands albums that are released with Ray Gillen on them by going to the discography section, and then scroll all the way to the bottom of the list of Black Sabbath albums, and click on "Badlands". God bless, Ray!
