I picked the winners of the Sabbath Story DVD contest during the holidays, but haven’t yet sent out the winners. The answers to the trivia questions were:

  1. Which Star Trek actress is in a Black Sabbath music video? (Answer: Denise Crosby played Tasha Yar in Star Trek: The Next Generation, and was in the music video for No Stranger to Love)
  2. Who was the first singer to replace Ozzy in Black Sabbath? (Answer: Dave Walker. Check the timeline page for details).
  3. Which Black Sabbath songs (performed by Black Sabbath) have appeared on movie soundtracks and what were they? (Answer: Well, I was only looking for three. I should have researched this question better, I did not use it as a qualifier for the giveaway because my question was flawed. The only three I was looking for were E5150 & Mob Rules from Heavy Metal & Time Machine from Wayne’s World. Other folks sent me ones from Almost Famous, and there was one in Detroit Rock City, too amongst others).
  4. How many official Black Sabbath albums did Bill Ward appear on? (15. Black Sabbath, Paranoid, Master of Reality, Volume 4, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Sabotage, We Sold Our Soul.., Technical Ecstasy, Never Say Die, Heaven & Hell, Born Again, The Sabbath Stones, Reunion, Past Lives, Symptom of the Universe: The Original Black Sabbath 1970-1978. All listed in my Sabbath discography).

The winners were:

  1. Christopher Hart – Wheeling, WV USA
  2. Brian Conley – Buffalo, NY USA
  3. Alec Kuntz – Tokyo, Japan
