  1. Haven’t missed a Sabbath show (Ozzy & DIo) since July of 2001. They are my favorite band outside of the Beatles. I will post a detail review of the show. I unfortunately think this will be the last Black Sabbath tour. I hope I am wrong but I will appreciate the hell out of this show.

Last night’s show at the DTE was awesome! The set list is still intact; no cuts. Here’s a view we got out of God is Dead: I cleaned up the audio in Pro Tools a bit (possibly why the video is off sync a little bit.)

  3. Excellent show last night! Musicianship was spot on Geezer and Tony solid as usual. Brad Wilk was very impressive and appearing like Bill Ward late 70’s circa.with hair and beard! The new stuff fit in well with the classics. Background videos added a lot to the stage so as well.
Andrew W.K. opening up spinning music was weird. As a side note for upcoming shows, Sabbath went on about 15 min. after W.K. was done with his “set” (about 8:20).

    • Actually it was Tommy Clufetos, of Ozzy’s band and former Alice Cooper, Ted Nugent, and Rob Zombie’s drummer from Rochester, Michigan, whom played with the band. Brad was only on the album.

I know I’m a day late, long day + night, had grandkids yesterday also. Pine Knob(DTE) is such a nice venue compared to the other sheds. Lots of trees, landscaping ect. Cut to the chase, it was an awesome show. Ozz held up well, had problems on the beginning of Methademic + COTG but recovered, still a great showman and a great abilty to get the audience to particpate. Iommi + Butler are the monsters they always have been, just a bone crushing machine that encompasses everything in their path. Cluefotos(sp?) did a good job, just isnt the time keeper that Ward is but I didnt let it detract for me( but I did miss Ward). Ozz did a small irish jig that made Iommi crack up and almost lose his place for a second. Then Ozz was hiding behind a speaker for the encore revving the crowd up and Iommi snuck out and hit him over the head with his guitar strap, hilarious moment that most couldnt see. So glad I made the trip for my 31st show! Long live Black Sabbath!
